The latest and most impressive evolution of the sports bike, born in 2002 at the Aprilia factory thanks to the idea of installing the steering wheel on the flagship sport bike (which at that time was the RSV Mille motorcycle with a V-2 engine), thereby combining all the advantages of a sports chassis and a comfortable fit. The founder of the new category "supernaked" was named Tuono 1000 R, the first supernaked.
